Presto Pressure Cooker Sealing Ring/Automatic Air Vent Pack (3 - 4 Quart)

Product Description

The sealing ring fits around the inside rim of the cover and forms a pressure-tight seal between the cover and the body of the pressure cooker during cooking. When installing a sealing ring, work it into the cover in four small sections, for example, top, bottom , left and right. Work it into the groove a small section at a time until it is fully in place. Place the cover on the cooker body. Put one hand on the top center of the cover and push down firmly. Open and close the cover several times. Fits Presto Pressure Cooker models: 01/PCC4, 01/PCC4A, 01/PCC4D, 01/PCC4H, 01/PCD4, 01/PCD4H, 01/PCE4, 01/PCE4A, 01/PCE4H, 103, 104, 204, 40 (2 1/2qt), 40 (4-qt), 403, 404, A401, A403A, A403AD, A403AT, A409, A410A, A411A, A412A, A413A, A414A, A415A, A416A, KE02A, KE02AT, PB01A, PB05A, PB07A.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS IS THE CORRECT SEAL TO REJUVINATE COOKER, April 26, 2009

If you have an older pressure cooker, bought one on e-bay, or got it from grandma, this is the part that makes it work. The kit contains the gasket ring for the lid, and the rubber safety blow-out. It takes some time to get the ring to seat in place, and it will look like the new ring is way too big, but it is the correct one. Just keep working it into place until all of it seats in the grove. Some cooking oil helps. It must be pushed all the way down into the grove. After it is in place, it will likely still look a bit too large. After a couple of uses, it will look perfect, and should last many years. What a great way to make an older pot just like new.

Replacement sealing ring fit my pressure cooker just like it said. Soft and supple when taken out of the box. You do have to know how to insert them into place. Looks at first like it doesn't fit but it does. Just start tucking it under the lip of the top and continue all around. Sticking in the last piece looks long but it isn't when it gets tucked in. Seals great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fits like a charm..., November 10, 2011

I bought a 4 quart A414A Presto pressure cooker at a garage sale for only three dollars. It needed a good cleaning and this seal kit. It took a little work to get the seal into place, but it definitely is a perfect fit. I haven't yet cooked or canned (1/2 pints only), but I can tell fron closing the cooker that is is going to be absolutely fine. The lid fits very tightly when assembled. Now I have this small cooker/canner for those smaller jobs where my 22 and 23 quart monsters would be overkill. I like these older weighted models better than the six quart TTK cooker that I found at Target store a few years back. I don't like my TTK for cooking, because I don't trust that it's really pressuring up like I want it to, but with the heavy bottom on it, I can still use it for an A-1 popcorn popper! :-)
