This review is from: S-9888 metal safety fuse, fits Mirro pressure cookers.
As I stated in the review for the gasket for my canner, it is exactly what I expected, no better, no worse and taking time to review such an item is just wasted time.

Deni 9780 Oval-Shaped 8-1/2-Quart Electric Pressure Cooker Reviews
Our first Deni went dead after one use. Deni customer service (Keystone Manufacturing) was outstanding though. Since it was a large heavy item, all they required was for the power cord to be cut off and mailed back to them, at which point they sent out a brand new pressure cooker. Unfortunately, the 2nd one arrived with the plastic base pretty much shattered, although there was no damage evident on the box. No problem! Customer service sent another replacement out immediately with no questions. Unfortunately (again), the new unit died after only 2 or 3 uses (at least it lasted longer than the 1st one!). So while their customer service seems great, this particular pressure cooker seems to die pretty easily (at least at higher altitude of the Rocky Mountain region). The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is due to the customer service.

I like it. I am new to pressure cooking and have had some perfect outcomes. A few things not quite as good, but think my inexperience was more at fault. I have had great customer service when I called with questions. I needed the larger size for my bigger family and I would definitely buy it again. Have had 2 times when the lid did not seem to seat quite right and steam was escaping. I had to drop the pressure and restart the process. Would like the lid on perfect every time on the first try. There is now way to know it will leak until it leaks but again has happened only twice with many uses.

I purchased the deni 9780 8 quart pressure cooker and all 4 were lemons. I like the looks and the features of the pressure cooker but they would only work 1 or 2 times and then it would die. This has got to be the worse pressure cooker on the market. Finally i told the deni rep to give me my money back that i think after 4 times that i should have got a good one. Dont waste your money on this lemon.

I have 2 Presto pressure cookers; one is a 4-quart and the other is 6-quart. Both of them are stove top and not an electric pressure cooker.
This is a clever versatile gadget; I am just wondering what took them so long to come up with the idea. What they did is converting a rice cooker into a pressure cooker. All you need is a sealed cover.
We are using it almost everyday to cook stews, chicken and even rice. Beef steak comes out perfect - it is tender the way my wife prefers it.
Most pressure cookers are either four or six quarts. This pressure cooker has a capacity of five quarts; so if you are thinking that a four quart is too little, and six quart is too much, then here is the perfect one for you. Also, unlike most pressure cookers, it has a non-stick inner pan which is similar to a rice cooker. It also includes a rice paddle, because it can. Non-slip rubber footings.
For those who are familiar with pressure cookers, you know that it... Read more

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program( What's this?)
First of all, I should say that I'm a big fan of Oster's products and believe they tend to make high quality appliances. I had an Oster bread machine that I used at least once a week for well over a decade with good results (I eventually moved internationally and couldn't really sanction taking it overseas with the high cost of shipping). Because of my good experience with Oster, I was looking forward to trying this device.
I'm new to using pressure cookers, so this was my first experience with one. Mainly, I wanted to use it for beans and roasts. The first thing I tried, however, was the browning function. I thought that including the ability to brown food in the cooker rather than having to do it separately on the stove top was an excellent idea. It turns out that this feature is quite well implemented. I browned onions and green peppers in the cooker prior to adding the beans and seasoning. The only "problem" is that you have no heat control over the browning... Read more

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program( What's this?)
This Oster pressure cooker is a nice alternative to crock pot cooking. The pressure of the steam cooks food faster, makes it more tender, and allows the spices and juices to really penetrate (especially for meats).
This was our first time using a pressure cooker, so we spent a lot of time reading the instructions, which are okay but not perfect (more on that in a bit). The manual includes not only instructions for operation and cleaning, but also some recipes. These are also not perfect (more on that in a bit too). But if you use some common sense along with the instructions, you'll do fine.
The outer housing and lid are made of a good quality stainless steel. The inner cooking vessel is treated with a non-stick surface and holds 5 quarts. Handles and steam vent are all plastic, but seem durable and should last. The power cord is nice - thin at the connection end, without any bulky housing or controls. All the controls are on the digital panel of the unit, in the... Read more
